Reporting a file that does not open

It helps to include:

• which tool you used and the file type (for example, MSG viewer and a .msg file);
• the program or device the file came from, if you know it;
• the exact error message shown on the page;
• your browser and whether you are on a computer or a phone.

Please do not attach a private file unless you are comfortable sharing it. The tools never upload your files, so a file reaches us only if you send it by email yourself. A sample with the personal details removed is just as useful.

Other reasons to write

• A conversion that lost or changed something it should have kept.
• A file format you would like a tool for.
• A question about the privacy policy or the terms.
• A mistake in the help text on any page.
